STFU

Omg, the 15 min ride to get brunch is killing me cause people won't shut the fuck up.  I swear to god I won't survive.

Rethinking the worth of brunch.

Silver Sprung is an official metropolitan zone

How do I know?  Because you know you are in the city when there is a high ratio of craziness.  Legit, I just saw three crazy dudes in the span of 5 minutes in less than two blocks of each other.
1. A guy with a paint bucket of window washing tools on the corner talking to himself.
2. Another guy near the same corner having a conference call with the residents of Crazitown and he wasn't on a phone.  I am secretly happy that I can't read lips.
3. The last guy was combing the Safeway (the irony is not lost upon me) parking lot in a neon traffic vest holding a red battery or gas canister like item waiting for people to talk to, sucker or murder.

He actually must've known I was writing about him because he crossed by my car twice.  I took a quick pic for your pleasure and high tailed outta there.

I'm a prude

I guess cause I don't think it's okay for your kid to have sex in the basement when adults are around (or at all).  No, you are not a brilliant mastermind covering up your tracks with girly fragrance while watching tv under a bunch of blankets.  I might make an exception if said deviant has a job and surely wouldn't give two f*cks if they didn't live here.  But alas.

Actually I'm a prude because it's not acceptable unless your kid is out of college or has a job and is married to that person.  That's just what I think.

Plus we know the most fertile folks are not necessarily the smartest ie: Walmart, Piggaly Wiggaly.  And with my luck....these fools will have quintuplets.

da doooobie

So I noticed rearview lights in the driveway and popped out to see who was there. Said person heard the snow crunch and was like "hello?".

I thought maybe this person didn't have keys to get in so I opened the front door and was consumed by the smokey smell of some illicit greenery.  Seriously if I had to take a drug test tomorrow I might fail because the smell was sooooo strong.  It must've came from the car cause the said person was nearly on the other side of the road, I asked if he had keys and he was like "umm I'm on the phone".  So proceeded to close and lock the door.

Fml.

Snowtacular Catastrophe

I am so sorry to have to tell you that I think it's armageddon.  The worst thing that could have possibly happened other than the zombie apocalypse is here.  NOW.  It's not enough to be trapped at home. or possibly lose power.  or that it's cold and snowy.

or you ran out of milk...

The snow storm delayed Girl Scout cookies.

WHY!!???  Anything but the cookies.

and speaking of new years resolutions

It makes me feel good that even "d" level celebrities fall off the wagon.

Typically after a breakup I lose weight and go bananas at the gym.  I just like the endorphins and really want to punch people so working out helps.  But some people after a breakup go the opposite direction like Jason Trawick who used to be engaged to Britney Spears.

The image on the right is the after picture.  Poor guy. Maybe he's going to do celebrity fitness and he will get the last laugh.

holy guacamole.

I just saw the Creigh Deeds interview about his mentally ill son that stabbed him and then killed himself.  While I feel sorry that Mr. Deeds was attacked, lost his son and his son was mentally ill I am not surprised that his son didn't get the help he needed.  It's clear that Mr. Deeds loved his son dearly.

It is also clear that he is in a bit of denial regarding this young man having issues (the quote about the health care professional indicating that his son thought he was a demi god.... hello?!!!).  Deeds said that his son was the perfect son, typically perfect children do not attack and attempt to kill their parents.  I dunno.  I also suspect if other people that knew his son including teachers were interviewed a couple of 'black spots' would appear on his "perfect" past.  Generally speaking, it's a rarity that a normal person would go off the deep end.  There are indicators and clues along the way that hint and eventually diagnose mental illness.  Even if he got the help he needed (Mr. Deeds is blaming the VA healthcare for failing his son), what if his son had to be medicated and stopped taking his medication?  Who's fault would it be if he went crazy and shot up a school?  The NRA?  The doctor? The pharmacist?  His parents or a restaurant for not forcing him to take his medicine with his food?

As a society, we need to get a grip on the concept of ACCOUNTABILITY.  There are mitigating circumstances and sometimes background experience that influences someone's behavior but in the end, the choice is yours.  If your mentally ill son decides to stab you, it's his choice, he is responsible and should be held accountable.  I wonder if Mr. Deeds was in denial about his son having issues when he was younger and that in turn took it longer for his son to be diagnosed?  Who's fault would that be?
